Yesterday, I had lunch with Moody and two co-workers. We decided on Italian, and I suggested we try Floridino's Pizza & Pasta,on Alma School Rd. I had been there several times in the past, and was in the mood for a calzone.

As far as Phoenix is concerned, Floridino's makes the best one I've had so far. I ordered a deluxe, which came with pepperoni, sausage, and beef. Overall, the calzone was really good. It was huge - so much so that I was surprised that I finished it. I ordered extra sauce on the side as I find I like to dip my calzone in the sauce - especially the more doughy parts. And speaking of dough, that tends to be what makes or breaks a calzone. Floridino's has a decent dough - one that I'd like to try as a pizza on a future visit.
